CRO is based on the Ethereum blockchain, making CRO an ERC-20 coin secured by the Ethash function. Since all 100 billion coins (the maximum supply) were created with Crypto.com went live, the currency is non-mineable. Because the platform is based on Ethereum, the average block time is 13-15 seconds.
